SAKURA KELLEY / NANAO TOKI

Nanao and I decided on the title/theme for the show after ruminating on the time that has passed since we last saw each other. All the work in the show will be from those two years, during which we have had almost no contact. The "one queer time" points to the flexible, ever changing, "strangeness" of time. This strangeness of time, like how two years can be condensed into a two week show, or like how we live seemingly parallel lives in different countries only briefly intersecting, is expressed through a collaborative installation of over 400 photographs. And there is of course our connection to each other as queer artists/photographers!

It's been a fabulous challenge to reflect on photography, art, queerness and time. Hope folks can come out and see the show!

Thank you for all your support!
